Cerrado is the most biodiverse savanna in the world. Being in the country’s second largest biome is like feeling your heart pumping. It’s feeling life with more intensity. With over 320,000 animal species and more than 13 thousand flora species.
Every number surrounding the Cerrado is big: it is around 2 million km2 spanning 24% of the national territory, through 15 states, home of Brazil’s main rivers’ springs. In this vastness, there is a unique place, a geographic landmark that is precisely at the border of three states – Bahia, Goiás and Minas Gerais - which is called Trijunção.
Pousada Trijunção is in the heart of the Cerrado and shows the biome’s preservation in all its potential, surrounded by hills, plateaus, rivers and footpaths. Solar and earthy tones fill the eyes and inspire guests, showing that everything in Trijunção is unique and genuine, including its location at the border between the states of Bahia, Goiás, and Minas Gerais.
The Pousada connects guests to the Cerrado in a unique manner: with activities from sunrise to sunset, the Pousada promotes a real encounter with the biome, valuing the history and natural wealth of its surroundings, including experiences that bring visitors close together with the fauna, flora and the wildlife. The services and experience schedules are customized according to the will of each guest and may include animal observations - maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus), dwarf caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus) and many other biome species sightings, botanical and immersive hiking trails, kayaking in the Araras lagoon and fat bike rides.
With only seven suites and an exclusive yet relaxed environment, architecture integrated with the surroundings, attentive service, and high gastronomy, the Cerrado immersion also reveals itself with its inner and outer cuisine, a poetic mixture of accents, cultures, smells, and flavors from Bahia, Goiás, and Minas Gerais.
In every corner, you'll find part of the country's history and riches, which were novelized by Guimarães Rosa in "Grande Sertão: veredas" (1956).
