RPPN River of Brasil

Adjacent to Pousada Tutabel, the ‘RPPN Rio do Brasil’ is an environmental reserve with 975 hectares that promotes sustainable development and environmental education for visitors, whether they are residents or tourists:

Kayaking along the Rio do Brasil is a journey through time. Visitors not only experience immersion in the forest as they descend the river, forming a corridor surrounded by Atlantic Forest trees, but also through time and history, by kayaking in the 'country's first mapped river' by Europeans.
Forest bathing on trails of short or long routes and varying degrees of difficulty, accompanied by a guide who is an expert in the biome.
Birdwatching, led by an ornithologist guide, with the opportunity to spot rare species in their natural habitat. Approximately 250 bird species have already been cataloged in the RPPN, including the Chauá Parrot (Amazona rhodocorytha), endangered, and the extremely rare White-tailed Sabrewing Hummingbird (Phaethornis margarettae).
The Picnic is prepared by Pousada Tutabel’s chef, with fresh ingredients and PANCs from RPPN.

Stargazing Experience led by a trilingual astronomer (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) who points out the main stars and constellations, explains celestial navigation, the origin of constellation names, and astrology curiosities.

Children's itinerary at RRPN, with playful and educational experiences involving planting, learning about materials that 'come from the earth,' and a 'sensory journey' for kids to discover the scents, tastes, textures, colors, and sounds of nature.
